Four Fields Training with Gospel Share Missions
Nathan Holland is now in Huambo, Angola with his friends Dimpo Motimele, from South Africa, and John Thikongo, from Namibia. After 24+ hour road trip, they arrived in Huambo where they met Jacob Baptista Phiri from Mozambique who flew in from Maputo to Luanda and then took a bus to Huambo. Nathan connected with Jacob last year when LAMP International partnered with Gospel Share Missions to translate their Four Fields discipleship training materials into Portuguese. Since that time, Jacob has been leading Four Fields training workshops, in Portuguese, all over Mozambique.
With the help of Gospel Share Missions, Dimpo, John, Jacob and Nathan put together a four-day evangelism and discipleship training workshop based on the Four Fields Discipleship method. They rented out a meeting place downtown and invited church leaders from various churches around the city. Around 50 church leaders from 12 churches representing eight denominations in Huambo joined the training workshop.
Additionally, several church leaders from the Churches of Christ in Luanda traveled to Huambo to join the training. They were excited about what they learned, and they are now planning another similar event in Luanda set for July this year.
